Catch up

why do I always feel like over the last couple of months all my titles have been related to catching up….

  • My in-laws were in town over the last few days. They left yesterday. They are great people and I am very lucky. Why do in-laws always think they know your husband better than you do?!  Yes, I understand you’ve known him his whole life, but I am his wife.
  • I had a 10k over the weekend to close out my short-course racing season. It went ok. very windy, but a great FLAT course. I ran it as a tempo run instead of a race. I’m ready to move on to longer distances.
  • and tri training!
  • Hubby leaves  in a few days.
  • BOOOOOOOOO

Tara from Colorado Runner is having a giveaway. Ryder eyewear. I want, no NEED to win.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten lots of things I wanted to mention, but that’s always how it goes. I need to keep a pen and paper handy to write this stuff down and not forget it until after I hit the publish button.

Have a great day everyone.

Ok, my MIL thinks my husband is a saint, STILL!!! I just want to share all his bad habits with her but I restrain myself...but there's NOT way she knows him like I do, he left the house at 19 for cryin' out loud!!
Yeah for tri training, can't wait to follow it and I hope you WIN the glasses!!

I feel the same way lately - just trying to catch my blog up. Forget about commenting - I'm waaaay behind on that.

Have fun with tri training! I thought I'd be starting that soon, but from the looks of things, I'll be winging this season.

PS - the goggles are the Barracuda ultimate - I got them from swimoutlet.com.

Glad to see a post from you:) My husband behaves so differently when around his parents, it is funny to watch. I am also excited to start tri training after Boston!

my in laws are the same way, and since my husband is the baby of the family, it's a million times worse.

hopefully the harder training will help distract you a bit from the Hubs being gone. : (

Hey girl! Thanks for the shout out! Good luck to ya!

That sucks that your hubbie is leaving again so soon. I hope he doesn't have to stay away too long this time.

Tri training? When is your triathlon? I'm going to try and do one in July. Should be funny.

OMG, hilar. My MIL and his sisters are the same way. They don't get that a wife knows everything. So funny. And now I'm caught up on your blog. :) On to the other people's I haven't read in like a month....

I miss my mother in law. She passed away a year ago.

No worries, it's training time. I'm behind on everything too!

Funny, my MIL always takes MY side and also believes that her son is a pain in the ass;)

Tempo runs, the better way to forget the repeats (a real torture).

My MIL is great and I actually think she defers to me on pretty much everything =).

I'm so behind on blogging and reading it's not even funny, I pretty much just marked all as read.

Nice job on the 10k---sometimes using races as training runs is better. I did this weekend.

I'm right there with you on the blog. I feel bad reading others when I don't update mine - but I don't like updating mine with out reading others! WTF?

FYI - I made it until the Tuesday before Easter. And I gave in. Wine was needed asap or else some poor random person would be dead. :)
