Has anybody noticed that today is March 1st AND it falls on a Monday (which I consider the first day of the week). New month. New week. For some reason it has the sentiments of New Years Day for me and I'm super jacked about my training/racing schedule for March.
Maybe because I am finally getting serious about my training season. Maybe because February was kinda a weird month with traveling and other scheduling conflicts. Maybe because trees, shrubs, and bulbs are in full blooming mode right now. Whatever it is, I'm welcoming today as a fresh start to the beginning of a new kick-ass season!
Every weekend of March I have a race:
3/13 - St. Patty's Day 5k
3/21 - The Big Climb Stairclimb race
3/27 - another 5k
I feel major PR's coming my way!!!!
I got this book online and I love it! I used it in the pool the first time this morning and it was a fantastic workout....3100 meters. I haven't had this good of a swim workout in months. I bought it because it coincides with another book I'm using for 70.3 training (currently base training). So glad I did.Sample workout:
